Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Advisory Committee
The ApplyTexas Advisory Committee (ATAC) discusses and votes on proposed changes to the ApplyTexas application for the upcoming application cycle. The committee also works on additional initiatives to strengthen student participation and access into higher education, including:
ATAC meets two to four times per year.
The Learning Technology Advisory Committee (LTAC) engages in substantive policy research and discussion regarding the role that learning technology plays in Texas higher education. LTAC also reviews institutional proposals for doctoral programs offered via distance education. The LTAC informs the Coordinating Board of how distance education and computer assisted instruction, including e-learning tools such as electronic textbooks and open course materials, can help the state reach the goals of 60x30TX.
Meets 4-6 time per year
The Financial Aid Advisory Committee is created to provide the Board with advice and recommendations regarding the development, implementation, and evaluation of state financial aid programs for college students. In addition, the committee reviews state financial aid program policies and procedures; reviews the collection, use, and reporting of data; and identifies areas of research for consideration. Meets quarterly
The Undergraduate Education Advisory Committee (UEAC) serves as a forum for problem-solving and the generation of good ideas to improve undergraduate education that reflect the goals of Texas’ higher education plan, 60x30TX. UEAC provides advice and recommendations to the Board regarding policy the Board and institutions should take to enhance undergraduate education in Texas.
The UEAC meets between two to four times a year.
