Space Management & Planning

UNT’s annual Space Survey will be open March 1 – April 30th. As outlined in the Space Management policy, all campus units must report assigned rooms according to state and federal codes and regulations each year.

***In response to the university updates regarding COVID-19 and the increased demand on departments as they prepare for the changes, the deadline for the Space Survey has been extended. The new due date is now Wednesday, April 30th, 2020.

We understand there may be some challenges associated with the transition to telecommuting. As a reminder to those that have not had the opportunity to complete the space survey, you can complete it while working at home but you MUST be connected to VPN (this grants you access to UNT’s secure network) in order to access and complete it before the due date of April 30, 2020. If you are unsure how to connect to VPN, here is a guide that may assist you in setting that up. If you are still having trouble, we recommend reaching out to your department’s IT representatives for further assistance.

Space Management and Planning is responsible for managing one of the University's most limited resources – space. The management of space includes planning, tracking, assignment, auditing, analyses, and reporting of current and future needs based on the strategic and research goals of the institution while maintaining proper alignment with the Master Plan.
