Location

Dedicated to promoting a climate of research, UNT's nearly 300-acre Discovery Park (DP) campus, located approximately 5 miles north of the main Denton campus, is home to the College of Information. Originally a Texas Instruments plant, the facility has been retrofitted to house not only COI, but also the College of Engineering, UNT's Information Technology Shared Services, some business start-ups, and UNT's Office of Research and Economic Development.

Transportation

Bus service runs regularly between UNT's main campus and DP.  It takes aproximately 15 to 20 minutes to get from DP to the UNT Union.  The bus stop at DP is located on the south side of the building, right outside of the Dean's Office of the College of Engineering.

There are three parking lots for Eagle Commuter parking passes and three parking lots for Faculty/Staff parking passes surrounding DP. To purchase permits please visit: UNT Parking Portal.  If you do not have a UNT parking permit, you will need to purchase a temporary day pass from the UNT Parking office, or pay to park in an hourly areas.

Visitors

If you are a visitor, please stop by the information booth for a free parking pass. Questions regarding parking for visitors should be directed to (940) 565-3020 or visit the UNT Transporation Services website.
