Boonyarit Kittaweepitak

Teaching Fellow

 

 

Boonyarit Kittaweepitak, a native of Thailand, is a Euphonium Teaching Fellow at the University of North Texas. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctoral of Musical Arts under the instruction of Prof. David Childs. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in euphonium performance from Mahidol University and a Master of Music degree in euphonium performance from the Royal Northern College of Music in the United Kingdom. His primary teachers include Kitti Sawetkittikul, Prof. Steven Mead, Dr. David Thornton, and Dr. Brian Bowman. Boonyarit began his euphonium studies at Assumption College with Wichai Yongvanitjit and Jakkrit Ruenvuth. 

Boonyarit has performed throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States. As a soloist, he was honorably invited to perform with Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. Also, Boonyarit performed a duet with a euphonium virtuoso, Steven Mead, which was accompanied by the Desford Brass Band in Singapore's Brass Explosion Festival. He has also appeared as a soloist with the Blackburn and Darwen Brass Band in the UK, Dallas Brass Band, and MCGP Youth Wind Ensemble (Thailand).

He performed with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, Siam Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Symphonic Winds in the Netherlands. He was a member of several ensemble including, WASBE International Youth Wind, Blackburn and Darwen Brass Band, UNT Wind Symphony, RNCM Wind Orchestra, RNCM Brass Band, and Manchester University Brass Band. During his study in UK, He has performed with several Brass Band in North West and Yorkshire area such as Fairey, Brighouse and Rastick, Leyland, and Besses O’th Barn. He was also the founder of Mahidol University Brass Band in Thailand.  Currently, he is the principal Euphonium of the Dallas Brass Band.
 

As an active chamber musician, Boonyarit is a member of fLOW Quartet, the winner of the 2017 South Central Regional Tuba Euphonium Conference. Based in Texas, the quartet gave masterclasses and recitals at Stephen F. Austin University and Texas Woman University. fLOW had a successful journey in Japan with a number of performances and masterclasses in Tokyo, Hiroshima, Saitama, and Yamaguchi.  fLOW quartet has released CDs in January 2019. Moreover, Boonyarit was also a member of E-Tan Quartet (Thailand). The quartet successfully performed at several euphonium and tuba conferences such as Sydney International Brass Festival in Australia, International Tuba and Euphonium Conference in Austria, Thailand Brass and Percussion conference, and Tuba Mania International Festival in Thailand.

Boonyarit kittaweepitak will join the Faculty of College of Music, Mahidol University in June 2020. He is also a current faculty member of Asia Tuba Euphonium Festival which held in Hongkong, South Korea and China. He plays on Besson Prestige 2052.
