About UNT’s College of Health and Public Service
The College of Health and Public Service (HPS) at the University of North Texas prepares graduates to address complex social issues such as aging, disability, disaster, criminal justice, cultural disparities employment, health, public administration and public safety. We have seven academic departments with undergraduate and graduate programs, the Center for Public Management, the UNT Speech and Hearing Center, the Collegiate Recovery Program and a number of professional development and clinical training programs.
HPS students train to become educators, researchers and professionals who strengthen our communities by serving as audiologists, behavior analyists, city managers, emergency managers, health care administrators, public safety administrators, public health specialists, rehabilitation counselors, speech language pathologists, social workers and more.

Dear Student,
Thank you for your patience as our faculty and staff have worked to create a plan to shift your instruction to an alternate mode of delivery for the remainder of the semester. The health and safety of our HPS family are our top priority, and in order to ensure your academic experience remains of the highest quality, it was important that we take this time to prepare.
In many cases, your faculty will be using Canvas and/or ZOOM to provide you as rich of a learning experience as possible. You can learn more about each of these tools at http://learnanywhere.unt.edu. For any classes that will continue to meet on-campus, we will be using social distancing for student and faculty safety.
Your faculty will be contacting you before Friday either via email or Canvas to let you know the specifics about how your classes will be delivered and their expectations. If you have any concerns or questions about your classes, please reach out to your instructor through email or the Canvas portal.
Our undergraduate advisors are still available virtually. Students can setup appointments by visiting https://appointments.unt.edu/ramonline/ or sending an email to hpsadvisingservices@unt.edu. Graduate students can contact your departments directly for your advising needs. You can learn more about UNT’s response to COVID-19 at https://healthalerts.unt.edu/. The website is updated regularly.
