Audio Guide devices are available at the entrances of The Met Fifth Avenue, The Met Cloisters, and The Met Breuer, and at select exhibitions at all three locations.

Renting the Audio Guide

Rental includes same-day use at all three locations. Just keep your receipt.

The following fees are per person, per day (sales tax included):

Regular $7
Members and Patrons $6
Children under 12 $5
Groups of 14 or fewer $6
Groups of 15 or more $4

Special Discounts

Audio Guide devices are $5 for all visitors after 5 pm on Friday and Saturday evenings (not to be combined with any other discounts).

Audio Guide devices are free for New York City high school students with a valid ID (made possible by the May and Samuel Rudin Family Foundation, Inc.).

Discounted rates are available to groups with reservations. See Group Visits.

Accessibility

Audio Guide devices are free to visitors who are blind, partially sighted, Deaf, or with hearing loss. Devices have volume controls and headsets. Neck loops for hearing aids with T-switches are available upon request. Transcripts in standard and large print are also available for select current exhibitions.
