Job Searching

When it comes to job searching, there are so many resources available that the options can seem overwhelming. We recommend that you start your search by exploring UNT’s online jobs and internship database, Eagle Careers. You can access Eagle Careers directly from my.unt.edu. Be sure to update your profile, upload a reviewed resume, list your preferred email and check the site regularly. Eagle Careers is a site exclusively for UNT students and alumni. New jobs are posted daily and there are countless opportunities available.

Another great resource for locating job opportunities is LinkedIn. When you search for jobs on LinkedIn include filtering by experience level in your search criteria. This gives you the option to sort by internships or entry level roles. It is often said that searching for a job is a full time job. You want to give yourself enough time to search, interview for and secure a job. It is not uncommon for this process to take on average 6-9 months.

Get your resume reviewed, tailor your cover letter and submit a well – tailored application. Once you get to the next step, be sure to practice, practice, practice for all interviews and research the company. Be able to speak succinctly about why you want to work for the company and what relevant skills you possess related to the role. We offer interview prep assistance during mock interviews.

If you are unsure how to start your job search or what opportunities to pursue, we are here to help you navigate the process.
