When to meet with your advisor
You should plan to meet with your advisor every semester. Incoming freshman students will be REQUIRED to meet with an advisor BEFORE registering for the Spring semester. It is good idea to schedule an advising appointment before signing up for classes to learn more about:
- Degree requirements
- Class options
- GPA questions
- Academic standing
- Internship or work experience
- Getting involved on campus
- Graduation requirements
- General academic/university policy questions
- Future graduate/professional school planning
