as an Internatio nal Student I receive great reluctance from the offices to g...et assistance with documents. The offices are not internatio nally friendly as they treat internatio nal documents with disdain or they are not familiar with the documents. As a result of their unfamiliar ity they summarily dismiss you without reading the document. In the community the offices are not aware of the requisite documents required for applicatio ns that you are qualified for. The lack of familiarit y with internatio nal documents spreads to the community. As a result of this I was denied several times at the DMV office as they are unaware of what informatio n is present on an I-20 form which should serve as a qualifying document and I was asked to present my Spring transcript as a proof that I am a student of the University , two weeks into the Spring semester. I just need my passport to be renewed and two public notarizes denied to notarise my valid document that I took to them in person on campus. First I was told that because the notary did not know me for years she was unable to notarize my document, when I have only attended the university for a year and furthermor e that it is not a requiremen t for a notary. Additional ly, the Internatio nal office was unable to constructi vely help me and mostly responded with a "I do not know", to my questions and the advisors in the Internatio nal Office are not willing to assist you personally and they merely send messages with the receptioni st. I do not feel the worth of my internatio nal fees. I feel so frustrated as the rules are always emphasized and the personnel in the offices are not able to assist you with complying with the rules. The campus could be more Internatio nal friendly as being in a foreign country is hard and students need answers to various pertinent questions. I hope it is a goal of the University to become more internatio nally friendly. See More - Karen Jeffcoat Holland — 1 starYou have got to be the biggest bunch of greedy idiots I have ever encountere
