There are a number of scholarships offered by the College of Science itself. You can read about each one below or apply to all of them with our online application.

$5,000: Pre-Health Scholarships
A scholarship supporting students who intend to enroll in a professional healthcare program or school after graduation--for example, going to medical school--with the intent to become a healthcare professional. Apply for it online.
$4,000-$5,000: Frank C. Spencer Rural Student Scholarship
A scholarship supporting undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a degree program within the College of Science who demonstrate financial need. Students who come from any "highly rural" county in Texas are preferred, but if no applicant meets this criteria, any student who graduated from a Texas public high school outside of the DFW metroplex is eligible. $2,200: The John A. Altermann III and Katherine M. Bradford Scholarship
A scholarship supporting graduate students in Sciences and Mathematics. It is awarded to a graduate student in either Biology, Chemistry, Math or Physics, rotating the departments every four years beginning with Chemistry in 2008. Learn more about this scholarship or apply for it online.
$1,000-$2,000: The Joann Peters Scholarship
A scholarship for undergraduate Chemistry majors who are also active members in The Association for Women in Science. Learn more about this scholarship or apply for it online.
$1,000: The Nasra Farhataziz Endowed Scholarship
A scholarship supporting students enrolled full-time in any major within the College of Science. Learn more about this scholarship or apply for it online.
$1,000: The Zhibing Hu Scholarship
A scholarship supporting graduate students enrolled full-time in Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science. Learn more about this scholarship or apply for it online.
$500-$1,000: Robert H. & Jimmie G. Nobles Scholarship
A scholarship supporting graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in a degree program within the College of Science who have demonstrated academic promise. Learn more about this scholarship or apply for it online.
$500: The Aspiring Actuary Scholarship
A scholarship supporting undergraduate students in Mathematics seeking the Undergraduate Academic Certificate in Actuarial Science. Learn more about this scholarship or apply for it online.
