College life can be hectic. Commuting to campus, attending classes, studying for exams, and working your evening job doesn't leave you much time for a social life. Why spend your precious free time grocery shopping, slaving over a stove, or washing dishes when you could purchase a meal plan and have your fill of healthy, made-from-scratch food, without preparation or clean-up!

Also, dining off campus can be very expensive and provide you with unhealthy options that still leave you hungry. You’ll want to take advantage of the tremendous savings and nourishment with our wholesome variety, as well as prepare for the unexpected at any of our dining halls or restaurants. Dining Services staff will be here for you seven days a week.

Commuters General Information

Door Price for Fall 2019 - Spring 2020 at Bruceteria, Kerr Dining Hall, Champs and Mean Greens Café is $7.95 per all-you-care-to-eat meal. Door price for Kitchen West is just $5.50.

Students living off campus, in fraternity or sorority houses, and upperclassmen in non-required dorms may choose to purchase any Commuter Meal Plan or any Resident Meal Plan. Purchase your plan now .

Declining Balance Meal Plans

Declining Balance is a fixed amount of money added to a student’s ID card that functions like a debit card—each time you make a purchase, the cost is deducted from the balance on your card. Declining balance is a dollar-for-dollar exchange; if you purchase $100 in Declining Balance, you will have $100 in Declining Balance loaded onto your student ID. Since Declining Balance is a dollar-for-dollar option, students will pay sales tax at the register for each food item or dining hall entry purchase. However, no sales tax is charged at the time of the meal plan purchase.

Declining Balance can be purchased on its own by commuters and by upperclassmen living in meal-plan-exempt residence halls, or by students who run out of FLEX. Like FLEX, the money can be used in any of the dining halls and the retail restaurants on campus. However, unlike FLEX, Declining Balance does roll over from semester to semester and can be refunded at any time.

Please Note:

*The same declining balance plan can only be purchased twice in a semester (i.e. a student cannot purchase three Declining Balance 10 plans in one semester, but they can purchase three different declining balance plans in a semester)
