Learn with The New York Times

At The School of The New York Times, we translate the knowledge and practices of The New York Times into educational experiences for diverse learners. Our Pre-College and Professional programs employ a Timesian method to exploring ideas at the forefront of academic and professional communities.

A Unique Approach to Learning

The School of The New York Times is a place where students can explore their passions and interests while meeting and networking with peers, New York Times experts and other industry thought leaders.

  • We teach about the now.

Our programs offer an education that matters in today’s world, leveraging the relevance, scope and caliber of the paper of record.

  • We say “Timesian.”

The concept is infused in just about everything we do, reflecting a long tradition of intelligence, ethics, focus, innovation and information literacy.

  • We are committed to diversity.

We foster an inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds who come together and share their opinions and perspectives about the world.

  • The city is our classroom.

Whether it’s New York City or Washington DC, our in-person programs draw on the unique culture and industries of each city and the expertise of The New York Times.
