Students across our district will be participating in state mandated testing this week, May 14-18, via the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) testing program provided by the Texas Education Agency.
In order to ensure a distraction-free testing environment, many schools may not allow any visitors for the duration of testing.
To find out if a campus is closed to visitors during STAAR testing, please call the school’s front desk directly. Phone numbers for all campuses can be found at the bottom of their respective website.

Today is election day! Don't forget to head to the polls and vote on the 2018 Denton ISD bond proposal.
The 2018 Bond Proposal would have no effect on the Denton ISD tax rate. This video explains the factors that make that possible.
The state's school financial accountability rating system, known as the School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST), has given Denton ISD a passing grade every year since 2005. The district has saved $132,496,928 in bond debt in that time.

Ryan softball has canceled tonight's area round playoff game vs Birdville. Game 2 has been rescheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) May 5 at noon at Tine Minke Field. Game 3 (if necessary) will be played 30 minutes after Game 2.
