We would like to take a moment to congratulate Captain Polk on his recent promotion to the Criminal Investigations Division Captain. Captain Polk has devoted 12 years to UNT PD and 15 years to the University. Captain Polk holds a graduate degree from UNT and we look forward to the many great things he will accomplish in his new position.

CRIME ALERT | In the last six days, Denton PD has taken nine reports of burglaries of habitations at off-campus student apartments. In all cases, the front door... was left unlocked and large electronics were taken from the common living areas. We encourage all residents to lock their doors and remain aware of their surroundings. If you see any suspicious activity, specifically at student apartments, please report it immediately by calling 911.
