2019 Promotion and Tenure Recognition

Due to the fact that the Salute to Faculty Excellence (SFE) award ceremony has  been moved to the spring, we are unable to recognize newly promoted and tenured faculty at this event. The Provost is planning a special recognition event this fall for those whose promotion and/or tenure is approved by the Board of Regents this month.  Look for more to come about this special event!  

Call for Summer and Fall 2020 Faculty Led Program Proposals

The Study Abroad Office is currently accepting proposals for Summer 2020 and Fall 2020 faculty led study abroad programs. Visit the Study Abroad Office’s Faculty and Advisor webpage to learn the requirements and how to develop a program. Proposals will be accepted through July 15, 2019.  All proposals must be received prior to the deadline and late proposals cannot be accepted. 

Know Before They Go: Commencement Spring 2019

This semester’s commencement activities begin Thursday, May 2 and have events that run until Saturday May 11.  This Spring, there are 9 official commencement celebrations, an Honors College Medallion Ceremony, and a university-wide Grad Block Party! Nominations for 2020 Faculty Awards

Congratulations to all the 2019 Salute to Faculty (SFE) Award winners who were recognized at the award ceremony last week (https://vpaa.unt.edu/fs/recognition/awards-2019). Know Before You Go: Pre-Finals Days, Reading Day, and Final Examinations

As you wrap up the end of the semester don't forget that according to UNT Policy “On Reading Day no classes will be held. During prefinals days, no new curricular content will be disseminated, student organizations do not meet, and no extracurricular activities will be required.” Additionally, final examinations must be administered at the designated time unless authorized under policy. Faculty Connect: End of the Year Spring Social

Friday, April 12 6-7:30 pm- Reception in Union 341 7:30- Play at University Theatre   Join us on April 12 to celbrate the end of the year, followed by a play, "Summer and Smoke" by Tennessee Williams. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served!

Scholar's Day

UNT's Annual Scholars Day will take place this year on April 2nd, where undergraduates from virtually every discipline in the university will present papers and posters highlighting their past year's research. Please consider encouraging your best undergraduate researchers to take part in a great opportunity to showcase their research to peers and mentors.
