GaoKao Scholarship

100,000 Yuan Scholarship for GaoKao Test-Takers

The University of North Texas is now offering a scholarship of 100,000 Yuan for GaoKao test-takers who qualify for admission to first and second tier universities* in their province in China. 

University Admission Requirements

  • High School Diploma with a minimum Grade Point Average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • English Language Proficiency (minimum 79 TOEFL or 6.0 IELTS)
  • Proof of sufficient funding to cover first year of tuition
  • No SAT/ACT required for admission
  • No fee to apply

GaoKao Scholarship Eligibility

  • Minimum GaoKao Score of 400*

Additional Information

  • Scholarship recipients receive U.S. $4,000 per year for 4 years ($16,000 total or 100,000 Yuan)
    • Students must enroll in 15 credit hours per semester
    • Students must maintain a 3.25 Grade Point Average
