ANNOUNCEMENTS

New UNT Credit Card Policy
As UNT grows, so does the need and desire to accept credit card payments for campus services or activities. If you are using credit card payments at UNT, please be aware that you need to comply with regulations that ensure the university is conducting business in a responsible manner.

If you are planning to purchase a payment or registration system, or to contract with a service that offers the ability to accept credit card payments, please be sure you first contact UNT’s Asset Protection Unit. Failure to do so will result in termination of the system or contract, and implementation will be stopped.

Those who have already purchased a system or contracted with a service to accept credit card payments, or who have a new or redesigned business process for accepting credit cards, should also contact the Asset Protection Unit immediately to avoid termination or stoppage.

The Asset Protection Unit provides oversight and guidance to control cash processes and Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliance to safeguard credit card activity. The unit ensures compliance with the university’s Accepting Credit Cards policy.

If you have any questions, please contact executive director for asset Protection Larry Worthy at Larry.Worthy@unt.edu or asset control director Luis Rivas at Luis.Rivas@unt.edu.
