  • A core class in information science, library science, or data science 
  • Practicum, special problems, or research seminar
  • Advanced topic seminars

Or if you are a(n): 

  • Out of state student
  • School Library student
  • Law Librarianship student
  • Health Informatics student


Essential Notes: 

  • Students are responsible for knowing catalog requirements and preparing a degree plan with their advisor prior to enrollment beyond 12 semester hours credit.
  • All advising requires approval of the Advisor and Associate Dean (Master’s Students). Upon review, changes and conditions may be specified by the Associate Dean, or Associate Director whenever needed according to the student’s status, class enrollment limits, program conflicts, etc.
  • You must submit this form each semester you are planning to take courses. By submitting this form, your request will be sent to your advisor for review. Submitting this form early in the semester before you plan on taking courses is strongly encouraged. Please choose the semester and year for which you are seeking advising.
