Mandatory Meal Plan Participation by Undergraduate Students

  • All students living in the following on-campus residence halls must participate in a 5-Day (Mon.-Fri.) or 7-Day meal plan: Bruce, Clark, Crumley, Kerr, Maple, McConnell, Rawlins, Joe Greene, Victory or West.


  • All Freshmen living on-campus (regardless of hall selection), with the exception of those living in Greek housing, must participate in a 5-Day or 7-Day meal plan.


  • Upperclassmen living at College Inn, Honors Hall, Legends Hall, Mozart Square, and Santa Fe Square may choose from all available meal plans.


  • PURCHASING A PLAN

    Required Resident Meal Plan selections will be made when you sign up for Housing. Payments will be included in your Housing payments. Upperclassmen in non-required dorms can purchase plans by visiting dining.unt.edu and clicking the "Get a Meal Plan Now!" button at the top of the page. Charges will be posted to your student account and payments will be made through my.unt.edu.


    CHANGING A MEAL PLAN

    Resident Meal Plans may be downgraded at no cost before or on the 2nd Friday after the dorms open. Plans can be upgraded at any time.


    If you need to make changes to your meal plan before the start of the semester, you may do so by logging into your account on ehousing.unt.edu, clicking "View my Applications" from the left column, selecting your application number, and editing your meal plan preference. Sack Lunches

Sack Lunches are available to students with a meal plan, for times when they are unable to get to one of the dining halls during regular meal hours due to class or work conflict. Please complete the following:

  •  Work-related: Fill out Work Schedule form and email it to dining@unt.edu for program approval.  

  • Class-related: Email a print out of your class schedule to dining@unt.edu for program approval. Please include your: 1) Full name; 2) Student ID #; 3) Phone #; 4) Current meal plan.

  • Take the approved Work Schedule form or Class Schedule along with a Sack lunch form to either Bruce Hall or Champs @ Victory to get your order started.


    PROGRAM CONSIDERATIONS

  • Please give 24 hours notice when ordering a sack meal.
  • Sack meal makers do their best to fulfill your request.
  • Valid pick-up times for sack lunch requests are: Monday – Friday from 7:15am – 6:30pm (Weekend sack lunches are not available).
  • Sack lunches include: sandwich, condiments and fruit.
  • Please give 24 hours notice to cancel a sack meal.
  • The Sack Lunch may be picked up from the front entrance cashier.
  • If you have a regularly scheduled sack lunch and you miss two pick-ups, your regular sack lunch order will be cancelled until you speak with the Dining Manager.


Sick Tray Policy

Dining Services offers a sick tray policy for students who are ill. Please do the following:

  • • Complete the Resident Sick Form for Dining Services—available from your RA.

  • • Return the completed form to your RA.

  • • The RA will take a disposable tray to the dining hall and bring your meal to you.
