The Cognos Department Reports training is the 3rd of 6 courses that makes up the Budget Training Bundle. In this hands on training, users will learn how to read their reports, view balances, and find transactions.

At the end of this training, users will be able to:

1. Run the Department Budget Summary Report and the Department Transaction Detail Report with and without filters,
2. Read the reports including being able to identify the order in which chartstring summaries are presented, identify deficits that need to be covered, and understand the differences between actuals, encumbrances, and pre-encumbrances, 
3. Use the drill-through features to view transaction detail, and
4. Be able to run the detail report to excel and use excel filters to perform research.
