UNT Hoping To End On High Note Sunday

SADDLEBROOKE, Ariz. – The North Texas women's golf team sits in a tie for 12th place at the MountainView Collegiate entering the final round of play after shooting a 301 Saturday.

The Mean Green were led Saturday by junior Lauren Cox, who was the team's lone golfer under par on the day after shooting a 71. She is now tied for 38th with freshman teammate Patricia Sinolungan.

"We are certainly not pleased with the round today," UNT coach Michael Akers said. "The weather conditions were perfect, and we had two really high scores. Overall, we have not adapted to desert golf thus far. All we can do is play really well tomorrow and build confidence for the Bruzzy (April 1-2 at Lantana Golf Club)."

The Mean Green will tee off their final round at 10 a.m. CDT, Sunday.
