Graduate Assistantships

Assistantships provide financial support for many graduate students. Teaching assistantships are funded by the department, and research assistantships are funded by individual faculty research grants. Only doctoral students and master's students who select the thesis option are eligible for teaching or research assistantships. Out-of-state and international students who are funded at least half time are eligible for in-state tuition rates.

To apply for an assistantship, contact MTSE.

Graduate Financial Assistance

UNT offers more than 38,000 students many opportunities on campus and beyond. Students can find assistance with locating career openings, student employment, internships and financial assistance through the UNT Career Center, the Office of Internships and Co-Ops, and the Student Financial Aid and Scholarships office.  Additional information on how to pay for college can be found through the Toulouse Graduate School.
