The Student Service Fee Advisory Committee (SSFAC) is established pursuant to Texas Education Code 54.5031 & 54.5033 and is comprised of students appointed by the Student Government Association and by the President.

 

The SSFAC's chief responsibility is to advise the president and administration of UNT Dallas on the type, amount and expenditure of student service fees collected under Section 54.503 of the Texas Education Code. The SSFAC typically meets in the spring semester to determine recommendations for the following fiscal year. All requests must be submitted to the committee through the Dean of Students/Chief Student Affairs Officer.

Mandatory Fees

Mandatory Fees are assessed for university-related services available to currently enrolled students.

  • Student Service Fee

$20.00 per semester credit hour

Maximum of $250/semester

Student service fees are assessed in proportion to the number of semester credit hours for which a student registers to cover the cost of student services that directly involve or benefit students, including but not limited to:

Intramurals and Intercollegiate athletics

Recreational activities

Health and hospital services

Medical services

Cultural entertainment series

Artists and lecture series

Debating and oratorical activities

Student government
