Brenda Robertson joined the staff as librarian in October 2009 and advanced to position of Head Librarian in 2011. Upon receiving her masters in library science, her career began with Amigos Library Services in Dallas as Grants Facilitator and later as Members Services Representative to market electronic resources to Academic, Public and School librarians.  Before Amigos she served in several positions during a 28-year career with TXU Electric & Gas in Payroll, Account Receivables, Account Payables, Budgets and Fuel Inventory departments. She spent the last three years at TXU as a library resource consultant in the corporate library where she conducted research using LexisNexis, Factiva, Forrester, Dialogue, Reuters and Bloomberg electronic resources. 

Robertson earned her Master of Library Science degree from Texas Woman's University and her bachelor’s in business administration from Dallas Baptist University. She is an active member of the American Library Association, Special Libraries Association and Texas Library Association. As former scholarship chair of the TLA Black Caucus Chapter, she successfully coordinated the search and selection of the first recipient of the TLA Black Caucus Scholarship Grant enabling a library student to attend her first TLA conference.

Robertson completed the fast-track English Speakers of Other Languages program at the Eastfield Community College Teaching Academy and received her certification in July 2010.  She has served on a variety of committees at UNT Dallas such as the Institutional Effectivess Policy Committee, the Office of Distance Learning & Instructional Technologies Advisory Board, the Presidential Inauguration Planning Committee, Secretary for the University Council, Secretary for the IT User Committee and multiple search committees.

Robert Taylor joined the UNT Dallas Library in December 2011 as a graduate assistant.  He advanced from Library Specialist in 2012 to Librarian in 2014. Robert received his Master of Library Information Science degree from the University of North Texas in the summer of 2012. He also holds a Master’s degree in Education from Texas A&M-Commerce and a bachelor’s degree in History and English Literature from Dallas Baptist University.

Taylor taught high school prior to earning his 2nd master's degree and has taken part in book talks designed to promote literacy among middle school students. In 2012 he earned a Graduate Academic Certificate in Advanced Library Management from the University of North Texas.

Taylor currently supervises the reference desk and assists students with their research. He enjoys learning and sharing information about using technology to efficiently find information needed to support student’s educational goals.
