Lynda.com is an online learning platform that helps anyone learn business, technology and creative skills taught by industry experts. Lynda.com offers over 6,000 online video courses, all of which are available to faculty, staff, and students. Courses can be accessed from your computer or mobile device.

UNT System’s license agreement with Lynda.com allows current students, staff, and faculty to use Lynda.com. Unfortunately, alumni and retirees are not covered under this license agreement, and are therefore not eligible.

To watch videos on Lynda.com you must be connected to the internet. It is recommended that you use a 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi connection for optimal mobile viewing.

The recommended web browser settings are the current and last major revision of the browsers. Using older browser versions can prevent you from accessing Lynda.com and some site features may be disabled and not function as expected.

With the exception of Internet Explorer (IE11), Lynda.com supports the current and last major releases of the following desktop browsers:

You must be an active employee or student to use Lynda.com. You can log into Lynda.com in multiple ways:

Login through the UNT System ITSS website:

Locate the login button located at itss.untsystem.edu/Lynda. Enter your EUID and password. Start your learning experience.

No. Once you've been authenticated as a current student, staff, or faculty member, you can access Lynda.com from any internet connected computer with an up-to-date browser. You can also use Lynda.com on mobile devices using the Lynda.com app.

Once you are no longer a student, faculty, or staff member, your access to Lynda.com through UNT System will no longer be provisioned and your access will expire. Lynda.com recommends that learners download certificates of completion and share playlists links prior to leaving the university.

Lynda.com Certificates of Completion are certifications you earn for the courses you have completely watched on Lynda.com. Upon completion of a course, a certificate is automatically generated that can be viewed online and shared.

New content is added every month.

Select “Featured” in the menu list. Select “Playlists” in the drop down list. The Playlist Center will open. Select one of the existing playlists.

Log into Lynda.com. Locate “My courses” in the menu. Select “Playlists”. To create a new playlist select “Create New Playlist”. Enter the title (“Name”) and description of the playlist that you are creating. Select “Create”. Add items to the playlist by selecting the Plus “+” icon located next to the Lynda.com video that you would like to add to your playlist.

Sign in to Lynda.com. Locate the course you wish to add to a playlist. Click the Plus icon below the title of the course page. You can also add a course to a playlist from the course homepage by clicking the Add to Playlist button above the video player.

Yes, you can change the language under the General Settings page.

Yes, via the bookmarks symbol next to each video title.

Yes. You have access to several reports under the top menu, including recent activity, your video history, and your course history.

Yes, you can look at any course or part of a course as often as you wish.
