UNT-UNT Dallas Affiliate Program

During this time of transition, our goal is to make sure that you do not experience any disruption of services and want to afford you the option and convenience of enrolling in UNT Dallas courses through the Affiliate Enrollment Program. 

This process will now take place through the UNT-UNT Dallas Affiliate Program, a partnership designed to allow you the opportunity to take courses at the location, time, and via the format most convenient for you.  The process for you to participate in the UNT-UNT Dallas Affiliate Program is listed below:

II. UNT Dallas Undergraduate Students Taking Courses at UNT Denton through the Affiliate Program

• For the first enrollment term only, you will apply as a transient affiliate student to UNT Denton via ApplyTexas.
  • No fee is charged. 
  • You will be admitted as an affiliate transient non-degree seeking student and a hold will be placed limiting enrollment to one term.
• You must clear all financial obligations at UNT Dallas before enrollment will be allowed at UNT Denton.
• You will complete a UNT/UNTD Affiliate Program Enrollment Form signed by the advisor.
• The UNT/UNTD Affiliate Program Enrollment Form is forwarded to the UNT Denton Registrar’s Office where your registration request is processed.
• To continue to enroll after the first term, you must meet with your advisor to determine the course(s) to be taken at UNT Denton and the applicability toward the your degree plan.
• At the end of the term, the registrar at the affiliate institution will provide official transcripts to the home institution provided there is no financial hold on your record.
• Courses taken at UNT Denton will be considered transfer credits at UNT Dallas.
• Financial Aid eligibility will be determined and administered by your home institution.
• Undergraduate students may not take more than 75% of the hours for their degree at the affiliate institution.

IV. UNT Dallas Graduate Students Taking Courses through the Affiliate Program at UNT Denton

• You must complete and submit a “Graduate Non-Degree program, UNT Dallas Affiliate” application for admission at www.ApplyTexas.org. 
• Prior to submitting an application for admission, you should contact your UNT Dallas departmental advisor to ensure course transferability.
• There will be no application fee for affiliate program participants.  Contact the Graduate Admissions Office at UNT Denton to request a waiver. 
• You must meet all minimum admission requirements set forth by UNT Denton. 
• You must clear financial obligations at UNT Dallas before enrollment will be allowed at UNT Denton. 
• Contact the Graduate Admissions Office at UNT Denton for assistance with course registration. 
• At the end of the term, the registrar at UNT Denton will provide official transcripts to UNT Dallas provided there is no financial hold on your record. 
• Graduate students may not take more than 67% of the hours for their degree at the affiliate institution. 
• Courses taken at UNT Denton will be considered transfer credits at UNT Dallas and will be subject to the use of transfer credit guidelines as outlined in UNT Dallas’ catalog. 
• Students who apply and enroll as a Graduate Non-degree Seeking affiliate student will not be eligible for financial aid at that institution.
