- About three years ago my family and I downsized and move to the Krum.../ Denton area leaving my husband to be the primary breadwinner and support myself and our sons as we attended UNT together. My journey at UNT, made me aware of the young adults who are not able to go home for the holidays. So with that being said, though we are preparing to move and we have boxes stacked up. We will still celebrate Thanksgiving in the Krum/Denton area, this year. We have all matriculated and graduated from UNT we are now moving back to a larger home, but for this holiday season we are still here. As previously stated we are preparing to move but if you are a young adult attending you Auntie what Texas women’s University and you were not able to go home for the holidays no matter how small our home is There is room for those college students and young adults desiring to be in a family atmosphere .You may inbox me and we will send you the address if you desire to have a home cooked Thanksgiving dinner. Doctoral students studying everything from educational psychology to computer science, prepared and competed in the Toulouse Graduate School's annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition on Nov. 17 at UNT’s Business Leadership Building. Each contestant condensed years of research into a three-minute presentation that was presented to an audience of 120 people. This year’s winners included Deborah Cockerham, who focuses her research on the responsible use of smartphones in UNT Learning Technologies (first place), Eunho Cha from UNT Materials Science and Engineering (second place) and Devasantosh Mohanty from UNT COS Research & Graduate Studies (people’s choice award). The winners were awarded $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000 respectively. We're so #UNTproud of these students and can’t wait to hear the presentations next year!

Daniel Ebomwonyi, a Marketing sophomore and photographer on the side, has taken his passion to new heights. Daniel’s love for photography began in high school when his sister asked for modeling photos. Since taking those shots, Daniel has developed his skills further, working with more than 200 people. He feels that the best moments in the photography process are when clients’ faces light up after seeing their photographs. This moment of pure joy and excitement is what inspir...es him to keep creating and pressing forward in his work.
His creativity recently caught the eye of America’s Next Top Model’s Tyra Banks! After seeing photos from a campus photo shoot using a trampoline and some ingenuity, Banks replied to Daniel’s tweet saying, “Smizing in the sky Up so High Girls got skills Oh my my my.” Daniel surrounds himself with people who want him to succeed, something he advises others wishing to pursue a career in the creative arts to do. We are so #UNTproud of Daniel! Keep soaring to new heights!

Professor Brian Sauser is solving real-world problems. Sauser his University of North Texas College of Business students are upcycling a tool originally designed for toddlers to include those who are differently-abled. This sandwich holder has implications for people with impaired manual dexterity, regardless of age. Hear how a version of this tool has impacted the lives of 2 men and how Sauser’s class is partnering with individuals with rehabilitation expertise to redesign, rebrand and remarket the tool to a wider audience. The class is competing in teams and present their ideas as part of their final exam. We’re #UNTproud of how our students and faculty members are working toward a more inclusive world.
