Overview
All of the materials that go into your application are submitted online. The main “portal” for this purpose is the Law School Admission Council (LSAC). The LSAC is a nonprofit entity that processes application materials for law school applicants nationwide. (It also administers the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), and provides extensive information and services relating to law schools generally.) Once you set up an account with the LSAC, you will register with the “Credential Assembly Service” (CAS). This service, administered by the LSAC, combines some of the required documents you provide, along with your LSAT score, and sends the resulting compiled materials (the CAS report) to the law school.

Checklist for Completing Your Application
The following checklist summarizes the documents for a complete application to the UNT Dallas College of Law. Also, the applicant must have a recent LSAT score (test taken within three years of the application submission date).
You will find out more detail about each of these items —for instance, directions about the personal statement and resume—in the UNT Dallas College of Law Application Instructions, which you can access through your LSAC account.

The applicant must have a recent LSAT score (taken within three years of the application submission date).
Please be aware that the College of Law will not review an application without a completed CAS Report. You must make sure that you have completed all requirements with LSAC so that your report is transmitted to the College of Law. Your report is not complete until you have a valid LSAT score, submitted transcripts from all academic institutions attended, and submitted the required two letters of recommendation for authentication and certification by LSAC.
To review or check the status of your CAS report, please log into your LSAC online account. Questions concerning your LSAC account or CAS report should be directed to the LSAC at 215.968.1001.
Interviews
The College of Law may decide that additional information is needed to evaluate an application, including an interview. Interviews are required if you have been a prior student at a law school. In that circumstance, the Office of Admissions will notify the applicant to schedule an interview.
Other applicants may request an optional interview. The applicant makes that request by selecting “yes” to question number two (2) under section one (1) on the Application. While the interview is not required, it provides the applicant with an additional opportunity to present qualifications and interest in the College of Law. Interviews are usually conducted November through March.
All decisions of the Admissions Committee are final.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADMISSION TO THE BAR
In addition to a bar examination, there are character, fitness, and other qualifications for admission to the bar in every U.S. jurisdiction. Applicants are encouraged to determine the requirements for any jurisdiction in which they intend to seek admission by contacting the jurisdiction. Addresses for all relevant agencies are available through the National Conference of Bar Examiners.
