Sze Sze Tong, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist
Licensed Psychologist

I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Louisville; I received my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University; and I have a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Biology and Asian Studies from Baylor University. My internship was completed at the North Texas VA Health Care System in Dallas; my post-doctoral residency was with a private practice in the North Dallas area. My clinical interests include anxiety/depression, multicultural issues, first-generation college students, trauma, identity development, and grief/loss. I feel honored to be able to work with students of different backgrounds, perspectives, and abilities; I strive to provide a safe and therapeutic environment to encourage ongoing growth and development. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, and relaxing.

Tamara Knapp-Grosz, Ph.D., APRN, BC, Licensed Psychologist
Senior Director of Counseling and Testing Services

As Senior Director, Dr. Knapp-Grosz currently oversees the Counseling and Testing Center at the University of North Texas. Dr. Knapp-Grosz received her Master’s in Psychology from Long Island University and her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Counseling from Seton Hall University. She has undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Nursing and completed her doctoral internship in Clinical Psychology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Dr. Knapp-Grosz is new to the University of North Texas having joined the CTS team in October of 2015. Her clinical interests include Anxiety Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders and Positive Psychology. A former corporate Psychologist, she has opened over 100 treatment programs across the United States. Active in numerous professional organizations, Dr. Knapp-Grosz is a Past President of the Georgia College Counseling Association and currently serves as Past-President of the American College Counseling Association. Most recently Dr. Knapp-Grosz was Director of Counseling and Student Accommodations at the Savannah College of Art and Design for 15 years. She is very excited to be part of the CTS team and to begin a new adventure in Texas. In her free time, Dr. Knapp-Grosz enjoys cooking, spending time outside and traveling with her husband and two children.

Arlene Rivero, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist
Assistant Director of Training

My name is Arlene Rivero, Ph.D. and I am a Licensed Psychologist. I received my Bachelors in Psychology at UT Austin, a Masters counseling psychology from UNT and a PhD in Counseling Psychology also at UNT.  My Internship was completed at the Dallas Consortium (SMU &UTD Counseling Centers) and Post Doc work at Texas A&M Student Counseling Service, in College Station.  I consider it a privilege and a joy to work with college students as this is such an important time of growth, discovery and resilience.  As staff member with Counseling and Testing Services since 2010, my passions also include training and supervision of practicum students, emphasizing multicultural competence, personal growth and providing spaces of safety and exploration in the counseling room.  I enjoy working with people from varying backgrounds, identities and abilities and consider myself a generalist. I also serve as a ¼ time faculty member for the psychology department in vocational counseling and vocational counseling is also an area of work that is fulfilling. It has been my pleasure to serve UNT students at Counseling and Testing look forward to the continued growth and connection with the student body in the years to come.

Bethany Evans, Psy.D., Licensed Psychologist
Assistant Director of Testing and Special Projects, Satellite Program Coordinator, Liaison for International Students

Dr. Evans earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University-Atlanta and her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Baylor University. She completed her doctoral internship at University of Houston-Clear Lake Counseling Services and her postdoctoral residency at the Texas State University Counseling Center. Her clinical interests include anxiety, women’s issues, multicultural issues, grief/loss, and working with international students. She also enjoys doing educational programming and outreach.

Anais Cordova, LPC, M.Ed
Licensed Professional Counselor

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Puerto Rico. I earned my Masters in Guidance Counseling from Bayamón Central University and my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico. My interests in the field include multicultural issues and occupational and academic development. In my free time I love spending time with my family.  

Rebecca Partridge, LMFT
Senior Counselor

My name is Rebecca Partridge, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Texas. I received my Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communication and Anthropology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University, and am currently working towards my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Oregon State University. My clinical work is informed by person-centered, narrative and solution-focused theories. I believe that each person has the ability to find their own solutions through understanding and utilizing their personal strengths to rewrite their life stories. I feel privileged to be able to work with students from varying backgrounds and experiences. My professional interests include: trauma, PTSD, relational concerns and interpersonal relationships, challenges with transitions, identity development, couples counseling and compassion fatigue. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, friends, pets, traveling, reading and riding my horse.

Rebecca Gonzalez, Ph.D
Staff Psychologist

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from New Mexico State University. I completed my pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral residency at the Texas State University Counseling Center in San Marcos, Texas. My clinical interests include anxiety/depression, first-generation college students, trauma, multicultural issues, interpersonal relationships, and self-esteem/self-compassion. It is a privilege to provide students with a safe, welcoming, and empathic space where they can find solutions, create positive change, and feel empowered. I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my dogs, going to the movies/watching movies, reading, and traveling.

Cheyenne Miller
Accredited ETS Test Center Administrator

Cheyenne earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of North Texas. She also earned her Associates of Science at North Central Texas College. As a Test Center Administrator Cheyenne is responsible for proctoring exams for UNT as well as non-UNT students. She is an ETS certified test administrator for UNT Testing Center. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering with animals, spending time with friends and family, and reading science articles. 

Jamie Ward, LPC
Case Manager

I am a licensed professional counselor. I provide counseling services as well as case management services to students. I am trained in EMDR, CBT, and exposure therapy for anxiety. I earned my BS in psychology at North Greenville University in South Carolina and my MS in mental health counseling at Walden University based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. I have experience working in a variety of settings from a maxiumu security facility to a Marine Corps base and I am excited to bring my education and experience to help the students of UNT.

Enedelia Sauceda, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist
Multicultural Coordinator, Liaison for Multicultural Center and Pride Alliance

I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Oklahoma State University and received a B.S. from the University of North Texas. I use Relational-Cultural Theory (RCT) as the foundation for my clinical work. I also utilize culture, education, equality, empowerment, and self-exploration to help students identify strengths and to promote active change. My professional interests include: ethnic identity, microaggressions, first-generation college students, media influence, the psychology of gender, LGBTQ issues, and trauma related to physical and sexual abuse. I currently serve as Multicultural/Diversity Coordinator and LGBTQ Liaison.

Brenna Andersen
Administrative Specialist

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from UNT. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, decorating cakes, crafting, and hanging out with my dogs.

Jay Darr, Ph.D., Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor

I earned my Ph.D. in Executive Counseling Education and Supervision, with a specialization in Crisis Management and M.S. Ed in School Counseling from Duquesne University. My undergraduate and initial graduate work in Sociology, with an Applied Social Research focus was completed at West Virginia University.  I support student success from a person centered and cognitive-behavioral approach which is shaped by my lived multicultural experiences as an athlete, serving in the United States Army, and working in both for and non-profit sectors. My passion is to assist students with becoming aware of their initiate gifts, skills, and talents, with the goal of using this awareness as a tool to find healthy solutions to life challenges.  My professional interests include stress reduction, trauma, addictive and substance concerns. 

Rachita Sharma, PhD, CRC, LPC-S
Part Time Counselor

Dr. Rachita Sharma is currently a clinical instructor in the department of Disability and Addiction Rehabilitation at The University of North Texas where she teaches courses on Assessment and Psychopathology. As the Clinical Coordinator of the program, she supervises the clinical training of graduate and undergraduate students during their practicum and internship experience. She obtained her Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling Psychology from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and obtained her Doctorate of Philosophy in Rehabilitation Counseling from University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in May 2017.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Texas and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Rachita has several years of experience working in the field of mental health and disability adjustment. She has worked with individuals with a variety of mental-health and physical disabilities in Texas and Washington DC. Her previous work experiences have involved working at the inpatient psychiatric unit of Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, at the Assessment Clinic of Parkland Hospital in Dallas, at the Traumatic Brain Injury clinic of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington DC, at the Counseling and Psychological Services Center of the University of Texas-Pan American and at the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago.

Rachita is a Board member of several organizations at a local, state, and national level including the National Association of Multicultural Rehabilitation Concerns, Texas Rehabilitation Association, and Chetna, an organization that aims to help South Asian victims of domestic violence in the DFW area. In her spare time, she offers pro bono counseling to clients of Chetna, enjoys travelling, baking, DIY projects, taking selfies, and catering to the whims of her twin pug-mixes Chutney and Tikki.

Myriam Reynolds, LPC
Counselor

Myriam Reynolds is a Registered Art Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor.  She earned her M.A. in counseling psychology and art therapy from Naropa University in Boulder, CO and a BFA in Fine Art Photography from the University of North Texas.  Myriam has worked in residential treatment, juvenile justice diversion and private practice.  Her clinical interests include creative expression of emotions, ADD/ADHD, anxiety, performance issues, and trauma.  In her free time Myriam enjoys hanging out with friends, family and her dogs, making all kinds of art and spending time outside in nature.

Caitlyn Worledge, Licensed Professional Counselor

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas, trained in Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT), trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and I am a certified Mental Game Instructor. I received both my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Counseling from the University of North Texas. I have experience counseling individuals and groups in a variety of settings, including: private practice, treatment centers, colleges and universities, community agencies, and non-profit agencies. I also have experience giving lectures, workshops, and clinics on various topics, including: sport psychology, anxiety, depression, addiction, and academic success. My areas of interest and specialty are: working with athletes and performers; anxiety; self-esteem and self-worth; self-compassion; shame; perfectionism; body image and eating disorders; life transitions and adjustment; identity development and exploration; and vocational counseling. I strive to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental space that fosters exploration, growth, and change. I am excited and honored to work at Counseling and Testing Services; and look forward to continuing our work with our students. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family (including my dogs), reading, watching football and baseball, yoga, baking, and riding horses. 

Sarah Herrera, LMSW
Social Worker

I provide counseling services in Maple Hall for students living on campus. As a licensed social worker, my goal is to create a safe space that promotes self-exploration, empowerment, and solutions for positive change. My areas of interest include: time/stress/anxiety management, self-confidence, self-compassion, trauma, and identity development in regards to gender, sexuality, and ethnicity. I love to travel, play video games, craft, and watch scary movies on Netflix with my cat. I earned my MSW at Texas Christian University in 2015 my BSW at the University of North Texas in 2013.

Pam Flint, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist
Associate Director of Clinical Services and Training, Liaison for Student Health and Wellness Center

I have over 20 years of experience providing personal and career counseling at the UNT’s Counseling and Testing Services.  In 2015, I was promoted to Associate Director of Clinical Director and Training. My first career was as a psychiatric nurse in the DFW area. This afforded me the opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Animal Assisted Therapy is my passion. I started the Animal Assisted Therapy Program at UNT in 2002 with our first therapy dog, Roxy. My current therapy animals are Dakota and Willow, both are Labrador Retrievers.

I am a certified Master Trainer for QPR, a suicide prevention program. This program is offered in group format to university students, faculty and staff at no cost. This program is typically offered on a monthly basis in the fall and spring semester, check the UNT calendar for upcoming trainings. QPR trainings are also offered for specific groups when requested.

I am a certified instructor for QuitSmart, a successful smoking cessation program offered to students at no cost.

Counselor

Aimee is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas. She received her M.A. in Counseling Psychology and M.A. in Women’s Studies from Texas Woman’s University, and B.S. in Psychology from Texas A&M University.  Aimee is dedicated to serving in all areas of student wellness, and has special interests in self-esteem development, LGBTQ populations, vocational and academic development, chronic health conditions, and eating disorders/body image recovery.

Steffanie Grossman, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist
Group and Outreach Coordinator, Eating Disorders and Body Image Services Specialist, Liaison for Women's Chapters of Greek Life

I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and School Psychology from Florida State University, after obtaining a B.S. in Psychology from North Dakota State University. My clinical work is informed by interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, and acceptance and commitment theories, through a multicultural and feminist lens. I frequently incorporate art into therapy, as well as hugs from our therapy dog, Rockstar. I enjoy helping students empower themselves to live the lives they wish to live, while increasing and embracing self-compassion. My professional interests include disordered eating and body image concerns as well as gender and sexual identity development.

Stephen Davila
Testing Coordinator

Stephen earned his B.A in Art History from the University of North Texas. As the Testing Coordinator, Stephen oversees testing and clerical functions at the testing center. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, friends, collecting comics as well as hobbying.
