National vice president seeking applications for 2013-2014
ALA national committees

Good news! The deadline for applying for a 2013-2014 national committee appointment has been extended to Jan. 20. Applying to serve our organization at the national level is even easier with this year's simpler and user-friendly online application. ALA National Vice President Nancy Brown-Park is seeking applicants for national appointments who are truly committed to serving America's veterans and military families and willing to take on important committee responsibilities. "We need dedicated ALA members to step up and help us lead this organization in order to work our mission, and I encourage all interested ALA members to apply," said Brown-Park.

Don’t forget our troops and their families during holiday season

American Legion Auxiliary

This season, as we remember those who can’t be with us because they’re protecting our freedom, let’s not forget the families holding down the fort here at home. May they have peace knowing the American Legion Auxiliary cares deeply about them too.

If you see Servicemembers' families, be sure to thank them for their service as well.

Community Service: MLK Day is Jan. 21

Making our communities better places in which to live is another core value put in action by American Legion Auxiliary members every day across the country. Whether hosting a stand down to bring vital health and support services to homeless veterans or coordinating a send-off or welcome-home event for a deployed military unit, Auxiliary members are continuously at work in their communities, demonstrating the compassion and heart we have for those who serve our country and give so much. Community service projects focus on enhancing the quality of life for veterans and their families.
