Pat’s Legacy Continues

Family and friends created the Pat Tillman Foundation in 2004 to honor Pat’s legacy and pay tribute to his commitment to leadership and service.

The mission of the Pat Tillman Foundation is to invest in military veterans and their spouses through educational scholarships; building a diverse community of leaders committed to service to others.

To date, 230 Tillman Military Scholars representing 34 states and attending 71 academic institutions nationwide have been awarded over $3.2 million in scholarship support.

Meet a Tillman Military Scholar

Sergeant Tristan Dyer, U.S. Army

Both of Sergeant Tristan Dyer’s grandfathers and several uncles served in the military, so he was familiar with the values and life lessons one learns from the military, but looking back he didn’t realize it would shape his future.

Tristan enlisted before high school graduation and served in the U.S. Army for five years, with a year deployment in Iraq. After being honorably discharged, he left his home of coastal Maine to pursue a career in film and television in Los Angeles, California. (More)
