The Office of Distance Learning and Instructional Technology recognizes and rewards outstanding online teaching for faculty who provide meaningful, consistent engagement that leads to the mastery of course and program learning outcomes in online environments- all while maintaining the academic integrity of the University of North Texas at Dallas.
Beginning in Fall 2015 the Distance Learning Advisory Committee will be selecting two faculty members to be honored with the annual Excellence in Online Teaching Awards:
- Outstanding Teaching with Technology, and
- Outstanding Online Course
The award recipients will receive the distinction of a special Award logo placed in their course for three years to signify their online course has been deemed outstanding or exemplary.
The awards will recognize and reward superior online teaching, provide models of excellence and innovation for fellow faculty, and encourage all faculty to continue to improve and advance:
- their online teaching pedagogy and/or
- their use of instructional technology in support of the teaching and learning process.
