Neil Foote has worked in print, in broadcast and online media. He teaches classes in basic journalism, multimedia storytelling, and public affairs reporting, race/gender & media and media management. Foote is a contributor to the textbook, Race, Gender, Class, and Media: Studying Mass Communication and Multiculturalism (Kendal Hunt Publisher, 2011).

Experience:

Foote has worked at The Miami Herald, The Washington PostThe Dallas Morning News, the Belo Corporation and at the Tom Joyner Morning Show. He also worked for The American Society of Newspaper Editors. In addition to being a newspaper reporter, he has led advertising sales teams, helped develop strategy and launch websites and developed and managed public relations for Tom Joyner and his media company.

He is president of Foote Communications LLC, a Dallas media consulting firm. Foote is chairman of the National Kidney Foundation Serving North Texas, a board member of the UNT Alumni Association, past chairman of the National Association of Minority Media Executive, as well as a longstanding member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
