This place brings back the nostalgia of Austin, TX in the early 90’s. A college town who’s potential for booming diversity hadn’t been fully tapped yet. A beautiful city and campus. Better enjoy it... now because, just like Austin, the world will come to realize what a wonderful place this is and flock to it! I am excited that my son will be a Freshman this coming fall! Go Eagles 🦅💚 See More

Every single person was so incredibly nice & helpful! It's a relief knowing that after one visit, my son felt like he was "home". Can't wait to be an Eagle mom!!

As a freshman music major back in 2005, what drew me to UNT was the campus and the city of Denton. UNT is a large campus with a small town feel, and that was just perfect for me. Majoring in music at ...UNT is the best decision I could have made for my personal growth as a musician, and for my career. UNT prepared me not only to teach band, but I also learned how to face and overcome challenges in the real world, and I met many influential teachers and friends along the way. All of these people are still helping shape my life personally and professionally. Go Mean Green!! See More

This is going to be the weirdest review ever, but I own a bar that has music 7 nights a week in Dallas, we have so many UNT players play at our bar, we are blessed.
The players that come and perform ...are outstanding in their performances and professionalism and we are so lucky to have such an institution so close by for our benefit. See More

Your education is what you make of it. UNT provides you every tool and every opportunity to be successful so long as you are willing to work and persevere through each challenge. I am thankful for my ...years at UNT and would not trade a single moment. See More

Had an absolute blast with all the clarinet professors, Eugune Corporon and Dennis Fisher! However, some flaws in the set up of music education conducting and instrument pedagogy courses. If these cou...rse were combined even for a bit towards the end of the semester, students would be better prepared for their final "conducting in front of the band" examination before student teaching. I went to UNT for my undergrad (6 years!) and it was great and then I went somewhere else for my Master's and it wasn't as great but a solid "good" but now I'm returning to UNT for my DMA and that's great!

Great place for a challenge and to really broaden your horizons about what you can do as a musician but also about what you can learn from other musicians around the world.

There are so many community outreach programs that allow students in this college to really apply their skills.
I loved working the the New Horizon Community Band and Start Up the Band programs. Thank...s to the professors who provided these opportunities for me and continue to provide them for young educators. See More

Best 5 years of my life. Incredible education for price, best music program in the country (but maybe I'm a little biased ;)

It's an awesome campus along with great students who are caring and nice. They offer many camps at the school over the summer and they're so fun to go to. I can't wait to go to another camp next year!

I feel Honored to have been invited to like this page. Texas and the culture there knows what their doing. I've always appreciated the schools in Texas and great respect for them in terms of the syste...m, faculty, students, and the people who support it in many ways. So you should also check what they have in store and also like their page to stay in loop. See More

Back in the day I was awarded an instrumental music scholarship to Southwestern Oklahoma State University.I thoroughly enjoyed my studies there, and, I was President of Kappa Kappa Psi for the 1970-19...71 school year. I still have many friends on the faculty staff at SWOSU. That is how I heard about the UNT College of Music. I have heard many great things about your school of music. Keep up the good work. See More

I had a wonderful experience as a vocal and choral conducting masters degree student from '02-'05. My opportunities literally changed the course of my career, particularly my involvement with the earl...y music area led at the time by Lyle Nordstrom and Lenora McCroskey. See More

Man, it's pretty hip.

That's possibly the most accurate summary I could ever give....

But for real though, maybe don't look for words to describe this phenomenal institution, but look up some of the performances.

Went with my son for UNT Preview Day, it was a great experience, very informational, felt like the faculty and staff were genuinely concerned for their students. We are definitely applying to UNT in 2018.

Great tour. Lots going on. The student union building, just over a year old, is a wonderful place to hang out. Everyone is so nice and Denton is a terrific college town.
