We are excited about your interest in the North Texas swimming and diving program. The Mean Green saw several program firsts and new records set in 2016-17, matching their highest finish (fourth) at the Conference USA Championship. The squad finished the season 1-4 in dual meets, including a first-place showing at the Little Rock Invitational and a dual meet victory over TCU

The team earned all-conference honors in the 200-yard breaststroke, 200-yard individual medley and the 400-yard freestyle relay. Mean Green swimmers and divers set five program records.

The Women's Swimming and Diving Coaching Staff
Please note that, per NCAA rules, coaches can only respond via e-mail to juniors (after September 1) and seniors in high school. Coaches must mail responses to freshmen and sophomores, per NCAA rules. You can call any North Texas coach, but they cannot return your phone call unless you are a senior in high school.

Facilities
The Student Rec Center offers an eight-lane pool that serves as the home facility for the Mean Green Swimming and Diving program.


Quick Hits on North Texas

During the 2016-17 school year, the Mean Green soccer team won its third-straight Conference USA regular-season conference championship and the football team played in the Heart of Dallas Bowl for the second time in the last four years. Individually, 48 Mean Green athletes were named all-conference and five were named all-region.

Nine competitors advanced to the NCAA post-season play with three golfers competing in the NCAA Regionals, and six track and field athletes advancing to the NCAA West Preliminaries. Maria Kononova ended the tennis season ranked No. 78 in the country, which is the highest ranking for a Mean Green tennis player in school history.

The future looks bright at North Texas with two freshman receiving conference specialty awards and five newcomers being named to all-freshman teams this past season.

Academic Athletic Services
In the Fall of 2005, the academic and compliance staff relocated to the Mean Green Village. Located on Bonnie Brae, the new Student-Athlete Development Center is three times the size of the former academic center. The Center serves as the cornerstone of the Mean Green Village and is only a short walk from the surrounding sports facilities.
