• Named to the Conference USA Commissioner's List Honor Roll and Commissioner's Academic Medal recipient
• Started 51 of 53 games played, including 42 in right field

• Hit .240, including a .284 mark in Conference USA games, with a .320 on-base percentage and .260 slugging percentage
• Scored 18 runs and drove in nine runs
• Fielded at a .976 clip with three outfield assists and just two errors
Tallied 11 multi-hit games, including six in Conference USA play, the second-most on the team
• Was 17-for-19 in stolen base attempts, tying the single-season school record with her 17th stolen base of the season in the series finale at UTEP
• Collected first career hit and recorded first career multi-hit game against Nebraska-Omaha
• Tallied multi-hit games against Northwestern State and No. 21 Baylor at the Getterman Classic
• Ignited a two-run sixth inning with a leadoff single against No. 21 Baylor, to eventually send the game into extra innings
• Tallied multi-hit games in both games of a doubleheader against Sam Houston and Creighton, including the team’s only multi-hit game against Sam Houston State
• Hit a a team-best .444 with a .500 on-base percentage and .667 slugging percentage, going 4-for-9 with a triple, two stolen bases and a run scored in three games at Southern Miss
• Hit .455 with a .455 on-base percentage and .455 slugging percentage, going 5-for-11 with four stolen bases, four runs scored and an RBI in three games at UTEP

Why Makenzi chose North Texas: "I chose the University of North Texas because I felt like it was the right fit for me to continue my softball career and further my education. I've been playing softball at a very competitive level since I was eight years old and have grown to love the game and love to compete. North Texas' softball team is a competitive program that I can not wait to be a part of."
