DENTON (2/03/06) Adding to his already impressive resume, North Texas track and field coach Rick Watkins was named to the Abilene Christian University All-Century Track team.

In his 10^th year with the Mean Green, Watkins was an All-American high jumper for the Wildcats and helped lead his teams to three NAIA and NCAA Division II national titles.

After graduating in 1984, Watkins went on to represent the United States at the Olympic Trials and in the International Friendship Games in Tiapei, Taiwan.

Under the four-time Sun Belt Coach Of the Year's direction, Mean Green athletes have taken down 48 school records, set 63 NCAA qualifying marks and brought home four Sun Belt Conference Championshps.

The Mean Green track and field team heads to Norman, Okla. for the JD Martin Invitational this on Saturday.
