EUGENE, Oregon -The Mean Green’s Clinton Collins earned All-America honors in the men’s 400-meter dash, concluding day one of the 2014 NCAA Track and Field Championship in Eugene Oregon.

Collins finished out his career at North Texas with a 15^th-place finish in the semifinal round of the men’s 400. He crossed the finish line in 46.37 seconds and was seventh in heat two.

Clinton currently holds the top-two fastest times in school history, as the only 400m specialist to run faster than 46 seconds. His record-breaking run of 45.76 at the Conference USA Championship sent him to compete at the national level for the first time in his career.

In the 400m hurdles, Chastity Stewart finished the 2014 season with a 24^th-place finish. Stewart is nursing her left foot which has been diagnosed as a stress fracture or broken bone.

As a junior, Stewart holds the top-five fastest times in North Texas History, including her record-breaking performance of 57.74 from the C-USA Championship.
