Biography: 

Dongfang Nie is in his second year as a PhD student at The University of North Texas. Broadly, his primary research interests involve the quality of financial reporting, capital market research and auditing research. Dongfang expects to complete his degree in May 2019.

Prior to starting his doctorate studies, Dongfang earned his BBA in Finance, MS in Financial Engineering, and MA in Accounting and Economics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Dongfang has taught college level accounting and calculus classes. He likes interacting with students. He enjoys traveling to different countries, reading books, and swimming.
