MadhuriBandla
Madhuri Bandla has been a faculty member of the College of Business since 2015. She has 12 years of professional work experience (including 3 years in India).
She started her corporate career in the US with Deloitte’s audit practice at the Dallas office, where she was the recipient of the Client Service Excellence award. She transitioned to industry and has held progressive management positions in large public and multi-national companies in areas of financial reporting, internal control, SEC and regulatory filings, and technical accounting research. Madhuri has assisted with earnings releases, coordinated domestic and international audits, authored accounting policies and also developed technical accounting training and presentations for diverse audiences.
Along with her full-time corporate career, Madhuri was Visiting Faculty at DeVry University from 2008-2012 where she taught accounting and auditing evening classes to an adult learner population.
Madhuri’s most recent corporate role was AVP of SEC Reporting at Nationstar Mortgage, prior to which she was VP of Accounting Policy at Comerica Bank.
Madhuri holds a Master’s degree in Accounting from UNT where she was the recipient of the FSA (Federation of Schools of Accountancy) award for academic excellence and leadership. She was an active student member of Beta Alpha Psi and was elected to other national and international honors societies.
Madhuri is a CPA with an active Texas license since 2007. She also holds a Bachelors and Master’s degree in Commerce from University of Madras, India.
Madhuri is a member of the American Accounting Association and the Texas Society of CPAs. Her teaching interests include financial accounting and auditing.
