"We are very pleased with how the girls came out and played today," said associate head coach Jeff Maren. "It was the perfect match to prepare for this weekend's competition against FIU and South Alabama.  We are especially with our doubles this afternoon.  Our pairings came out and showed their strength today. We are happy with the depth on our team.  When Maddy went out for singles, Ashley stepped in and did a tremendous job."

The No. 1 doubles tandem of sophomore Irina Parashiv and junior Amy Joubert lost their first game of the set before roaring back to take the next eight and then match 8-1.

Senior Catalina Cruz and freshman Barbora Vykydalova teamed up yet again and didn't drop a game en route to picking up the doubles point with an 8-0 victory.

In Singles, Paula Dinuta played in the No. 1 slot for the first time this season. Taking on Tarleton State junior Mariana Freitas, Dinuta stepped up her game and swept the TexAnn in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0.

Junior Amy Joubert, taking up the fourth spot in singles, claimed the match clinching point when she finished off Tarleton State's Carole Julen 6-3, 6-2.

The Mean Green now head to Mobile, Ala., to take on No. 27 Florida International on Saturday and No. 75 South Alabama on Sunday.
