Despite increased cloud cover and low chances of light rain or sprinkles in the south and east each day, Friday and Saturday will be mostly dry, breezy and warmer. It may even get Windy on Saturday. Well above normal temperatures are expected each day with lows in the 50s and highs mostly in the 70s each day. A strong upper-level trough will dig into the Desert Southwest by late Sunday and Monday morning. Lift associated with this trough, combined with deep Gulf Moisture will lead to widespread rainfall across much of Texas. While details remain somewhat uncertain at this time, locally heavy rainfall and a few strong thunderstorms are possible, especially south of I-20. Stay tuned for more forecast details as we get into the weekend!
