Swimming Earns Scholar All-America Award

CHICAGO, Ill. - North Texas was named a CSCAA Scholar All-American Team for the 2010 fall semester.  The Mean Green 3.38 team GPA is the 28th best nationally among Division I teams and tops in the Sun Belt Conference. The Mean Green have earned this award in every season of the Joe Dykstra era. All selections can be found on the CSCAA website at http://cscaa.org/.

Team Scholar All America Award

The Team Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented to teams achieving this standard in the fall semester and in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring).

The College Swimming Coaches Association is the oldest coaches organization in America. In addition to Scholar All American Awards, the CSCAA recognizes All American Swimmers and Divers at the national championships every year.

The Mean Green host the Sun Belt Swimming & Diving Championship starting on Wednesday, February 23.
