DENTON, Texas (2/15/10) - North Texas swimmer senior Laura Littleton has to fight everyday battles that most student-athletes, even people, will never understand.

Littleton, one of the captains of the 2009-10 Mean Green Swimming & Diving team, was diagnosed with a degenerative muscle disease as a child. This disease will eventually limit the mobility of Littleton to the point where she will not be able to walk.

We sent Jessica Shaw with MeanGreenSports.com to the Pohl Recreation Center to talk with Laura and her teammates about the disease and what she means to this team on the brink of becoming the most decorated team and senior class in school history.
