C-USA Final Results  

ATLANTA, Ga. -The North Texas swimming and diving team placed fifth in the Conference USA championship, which concluded Saturday evening.

Sophomore Jana Burkard started off the evening with a third-place finish in the 1650 freestyle. Her time of 16:36.06 was the fifth fastest time in program history and a season best.

In the 200 backstroke, junior Mona Groteguth placed fifth in tying her highest finish in in the meet. Groteguth has nine out of the top-10 fastest times in school history.

The Mean Green’s 200 breaststroke preliminaries qualified three swimmers in the final. Krista Rossum was the top-finisher, holding her eighth place spot. While Chloe Tong improved her top-20 finish and had a lifetime-best time of 2:23.55.
