They've gone by the "Three Amigos", the "Three Musketeers" and even the "Triangle of Death". No matter what you call them, the trio of Tess Graham, Lindsey Hulstein and Paige Bucklew are just proud to be called Mean Green.

The three North Texas soccer sophomores have known each other for over a decade, and naturally gravitated to the same soccer club, Sting, for their entire teenage years. They all graduated from Denton Guyer High School together, and fate landed them at North Texas together as well. Basically, you could say that they're inseparable.

Senior captain Kelsey Hodges might be two years older than her three teammates, but she's a Sting and Guyer alum as well. That gives North Texas soccer four hometown players that can count on friends and family in the stands each weekend.

The Mean Green open the 2013 season on Friday at Texas Southern at 7 p.m. Follow @MeanGreenSoccer for in-game updates and the latest news on NT soccer.

Your first chance to see these hometown stars and the rest of the Mean Green soccer team in action is in Sunday's home opener against Houston Baptist at 1 p.m.
