Lambright Battles to Top 20 Finish at Moore Invitational

DENVER (10/1/03) -- Tara Lambright trimmed four strokes off her first round score and claimed a top 20 finish to pace the North Texas women's golf team Tuesday in the final round of the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate Golf Tournament.

Lambright ended the two-day tournament in a tie for 20th place individually after scoring rounds of 81-77 for a total of 158. Also for the Mean Green, Laura Rakel wound up in 29th place with a tournament total of 78-83--161. Andra Lancaster tied for 37th at 83-83--166, Jaclyn Golden was 40th at 85-83--168 and Christine Shimon was 47th at 95-91--186.

The Mean Green finished in eight place in the team standings with a two-day score of 327-326--653. Nebraska won the team championship after shooting 311-302--613.
