Mean Green Close Strong In Spring Opener

CORPUS CHRISTI, Tex. (2/21/06) A final round of 307 powered the North Texas women’s golf team to a fifth place finish at the Ed Hicks Nissan Islander Classic from the Corpus Christi Country Club. Golden shot back-to-back rounds of 75 on the first day and closed with a 78 to shot a three round score of 228. Andra Lancaster was four shots behind Golden and tied for 22nd place with a three round total of 232.
