GULF SHORES, Ala. – The North Texas women’s golf team slipped into a tie for 10th place after the second round of the Conference USA Championship. The Mean Green couldn’t find its rhythm after opening in seventh place yesterday, and shot a second round of 313 to fall into a 10th place tie with Marshall.

No. 34 Tulane remains atop the leaderboard at 4-under par and takes a six shot lead over UTSA into the final round tomorrow. North Texas is only two strokes behind UAB and six off the pace of Tulsa.

Freshman Eji Kwon had the best day for NT and has the lowest two-round score for the Mean Green. Kwon shot a 4-over par 76 and is tied for 21st place. Senior Chaslyn Chrismer shot a 6-over par 78 and is tied for 27th place.

Laura DeLeonardis shot her second lowest score of the season with a second round of 77. She was even-par through the first 13 holes, but a double bogey tripped her up in the final five holes. DeLeonardis moved into a tie for 45th place.

Brooke Bailey shot a second round of 82 and Taylor Kilponen had an 84. The final round of the C-USA Championship is tomorrow morning and live scoring can be found at www.golfstat.com.
