LONG BEACH, Ca. (11/7/03)- Senior’s Brad Gibson and Zach Atkinson powered the North Texas men’s golf team in the final round of the Del Walker Classic to a fourth place finish with scores of 67 and 68 respectively from the Virginia Country Club. Gibson shot a four-under par 67 in the final round to finish the tournament in 11th place at 214 one-over par. 

Atkinson had a final round of three-under par 68 and ended tied for 15th place at 217 four-over par. Thomas Kulcak tied with Atkinson for 15th place at 217 four-over par with a final round 72. 

The Mean Green as a team had the second best round of the day at two-under par 282 to move from 10th place to tied for fourth place in a field of 13 teams. North Texas closed out the fall season with the best round of the season at 282 and will now gear up for the spring season and defense of their Sun Belt Conference Championship.
